Everest Helicopter Flight Route:
- The helicopter flight to Everest base camp begins in the early hours from Kathmandu Domestic Airport then flies eastward via Bhaktapur, hills of Nagarkot village.
- It then passes through Jiri village flying higher towards Lukla for refuelling.
- Stop at Lukla to refuel and take a Helicopter flight to Everest base camp.
- Then after a brief stop it flies Northwest towards Gokyo Valley cross Cho La pass towards Everest Base Camp
- After the overflow of Everest Base Camp and getting a superb view of the Himalayas it returns down to Syangboche where the Everest View Hotel is situated for the delicious breakfast.
- Here we spend some time having breakfast and enjoying the view of the lofty Himalayas.
- Then back to Lukla for refueling
- We then fly back to Kathmandu

- 06:00-06:30 Hours = HOTEL PICKUP & TRANSFER TO KATHMANDU DOMESTIC TERMINALPick up and then transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport (DOMESTIC TERMINAL) for check-in
- 06:30-07:00 Hours = SECURITY CHECK, COLLECT THE BOARDING PASS & PRE-FLIGHT BRIEFINGSafety security screening process, collect the boarding pass, another immigration formalities, meet the pilot and ground crew for a safety briefing, then seat arrangement then final weather assessment and flight clearance.

Helicopter Capacity: Private Charter with just 3 passengers all with the window seat right from Kathmandu
Although the capacity is 5 but in our private charter trip, we assign only 3 so that each one can have a window seat right from Kathmandu and can travel comfortably with good space in between the seats.
The option of Group Join in basic is also available if one desires. In group joining basis you will have 5 participants, and the cost will be shared among the 5 which makes it more economical. Program for Group joining basis will be slightly different. It flies straight to Everest Base Camp and hovers around Kalapathar, then flies down to Hotel Everest View, Syangboche for breakfast. After continues to Kathmandu.
Helicopter Specifications:
The Airbus AS350 B3 is a high-performance, single-engine light utility helicopter, also known as the AStar in North America. It is powered by an Arriel 2B engine with a digital engine control unit (DECU), ensuring high-altitude stability and safety.
Best Season for Everest Helicopter Tour:
The best time to embark on this tour is during autumn mid-October to mid-December and in Spring from mid-March to April, when the skies are clear, offering the best panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Autumn Temperature: Between 15 to 20 degrees Celsius during daytime whereas in the night it goes to -8 to -25 degrees Celsius
Spring Temperature: During this time the temperature is bit warm between 10 to 20 degrees Celsius during daytime and in the night, it will be around 0 to 8 degrees Celsius.
Even though the above-mentioned period is ideal, one must realize that the weather in the Everest region is highly erratic. We strive for flights in the early morning when the weather is better.
The tour may be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled for safety concerns in the event of inclement weather. Together, we will try to reschedule or issue a refund.
Gears For the Everest Helicopter Flight:
As this trip involves flying at high elevation it is good to prepare with the right gears. It is good to follow the layering system with good warm clothing. A windproof/waterproof down jacket, warm comfortable trousers, warm gloves, sun hat, warm hats, comfortable trekking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen (preferably SPF30+ for full protection, water, some chocolates, dry foods, your personal medication, toilet roll, wet wipes, passport, camera and small duffle bag to keep your personal thing.
Altitude Problem:
Although altitude sickness could be an issue, the risk is very little as this is just an overfly it is only during breakfast at Hotel Everest View that there might be a probability. Headaches or lightheadedness are examples of moderate symptoms that some travelers may have. Should the need arise, we will have emergency oxygen on hand.

Helicopter tours have been going on in Nepal for quite a sometime, so we work with a company who are reliable having safety records, pilot who are experienced, friendly and eager to show more of the Himalayas during once in a lifetime helicopter trip.
We also monitor the weather conditions carefully and all safety protocols will be followed strictly.
The flight route depends completely on the pilots. He will make the best flight route depending on the weather and your safety.

In case of Emergency due to sudden changes of Weather:
In the event of strong winds or sudden changes in the weather, the pilot will change the route and land in a secure zone. Your safety is our first concern, and we value your patience in these circumstances.
Also, one has to be aware that even the Helicopter tour is bit of adventure so sometimes even after safety protocol are applied yet some unfortunate scenario can unfold. So, one needs to be prepared for this.
Health Issue:
In case if you have any serious long term medical problem please do check with your doctor before undertaking this tour. Also, this trip is not ideal for pregnant women. For children we do not recommend it.

The helicopter flies between 4,500 to 6,000 meters, going above Camp 2 providing you with some of the best views. The distance covered will be around 200 Kms.
