Far Out Nepal (Far Out Trekking / Far Out Travels & Tours) – Terms and Conditions

Before signing up for a trip with Far Out Trekking / Far Out Travels & Tours, you must agree to the following terms and conditions to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding.

Travel Considerations

You will be traveling to some of the most beautiful yet least developed regions of the world. Services and infrastructure may be basic, and unforeseen challenges may arise. Despite these limitations, we will make every effort to provide you with the best possible care and an enjoyable experience. You are here to experience unique cultures, witness the majestic Himalayas, and meet friendly locals.

Travel & Health Insurance

All clients must have comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

Trip cancellation and delays
Baggage loss and theft
Medical evacuation and helicopter rescue
Coverage for accidents, death, and repatriation costs Clients must arrange insurance independently from their home country before embarking on the trip.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD), and payments must be made in USD or its equivalent.
Prices are based on current rates for hotels, airfare, exchange rates, and other services. We reserve the right to adjust prices if market conditions change. Clients will be informed of any changes.
Prices and itineraries are valid for the current year and are subject to change beyond that period.

Booking Policy

When to Book

Early booking is recommended to secure flights, accommodation, and permits.
Popular trips should be booked at least six months in advance.

How to Book

Read the trip details carefully to choose a suitable itinerary.
If unsure, contact us for clarification before booking.
Once confirmed, we will make the necessary reservations and notify you.

Reservations & Deposits

A 50% deposit or full payment (as required) is necessary to confirm a trip.
Trips to Bhutan require full payment at the time of booking.
The final payment must be made 30 days before departure.

Booking Changes

Changes to confirmed bookings may incur additional charges as per hotel, airline, or supplier policies.

Payment Methods

Payments should be made via bank telegraphic transfer.
Payments made via credit card are subject to a 4% bank surcharge.
Upon receiving the booking form and deposit, we will send a confirmation along with relevant travel information (visa requirements, health guidelines, packing lists, etc.).

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Refunds will be issued as follows:

60-40 days before departure: 10% of the total trip cost will be charged.
39-30 days before departure: 15% of the total trip cost will be charged.
29-16 days before departure: 30% of the total trip cost will be charged.
15-07 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost will be charged.
06-02 days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost will be charged.
Less than 2 days before departure: No refund.

Important Notes:

No partial refunds for unused services once the tour begins.
Voluntary non-usage of accommodation, meals, or services is non-refundable.
Visa fees and visa handling charges are non-refundable.
Refunds depend on supplier policies (airlines, hotels, transport) and may not be at full value.
Processing refunds may take 4-6 weeks or longer in the case of airfare refunds.

Rights of Far Out Trekking / Far Out Travels & Tours

We reserve the right to:

Accept or reject any participant at our discretion.
Cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., low enrollment, logistics issues). If canceled, a full refund of land payments will be provided.
Use photographs or videos taken during trips for promotional purposes.
Substitute guides, hotels, or services without prior notice.
Remove any participant whose behavior disrupts the group or impedes trip operations. In such cases, a refund based on unused services is the maximum liability.

Liability Limitations

Far Out Trekking / Far Out Travels & Tours is not liable for:

Expenses incurred due to trip cancellation, including non-refundable airfares, visas, or equipment.
Additional costs due to changes in airline schedules, missed flights, or individual travel plans.
Expenses for lost luggage, forgotten belongings, or shipping purchases made abroad.
Delays or losses due to government actions, political unrest, terrorism, strikes, theft, accidents, acts of God, or other factors beyond our control.
Your failure to follow instructions, including check-in/check-out times and baggage handling.
Your failure to obtain necessary travel documents (passport, visa, health certificates), which may lead to trip cancellation without refund.
